How to Improve Your Hiring Practices
 Thursday, August 8 • 11:10 a.m.

Think you know what works when hiring a new employee?

Most experts say: Think again!

Most managers skimp on the time and energy needed to find the best candidates for a job. Experts advise that a new employee needs to be part of the long-term company strategy - and if you can visualize where you want to be in the next few months, or even five years down the road, it will be significantly easier to see how a new employee fits into that environment.

The best way to plan that out is through a well-crafted, future oriented job description, which can be the first step that begins the hiring process and makes it simpler, from start to finish. The basics of a solid job description include title, to whom they report and a summary of the position and bullet-pointed specific job duties.

This is just the beginning of the hiring process; want to learn a lot more?

Then come and listen to a panel of the Officers of the ADS Forerunners Committee discuss their perspective and experiences on a subject which in one way or another affects everyone in the company and making the wrong choice can have negative implications throughout your organization.
