Homer Hogg, director of technical service for TA/Petro will help ADS Member attendees of the ADS 2020 Convention with ideas and best practices to prevent turnover, recruit the best people in the business, and keep customers coming back during a seminar entitled “Growing and Keeping Your Best Assets: People”. Homer will share what high performing organizations do to make sure they have the right people working in the right positions, and he will deliver a list of tangible action items and new resources to the attendees that they can tailor to implement in their own businesses.
About Homer Hogg
Homer Hogg has an extensive 39-year career that he began at Ryder as a technician and worked his way to director of maintenance training and new technology for North America with responsibility for 58 training centers which contain 80 trainers that serve over 4,000 technicians and 2,500 shop managers. He transitioned from Ryder to TA/Petro and is now the director of technical service, where he is responsible for maintaining TA’s technical relationship with Daimler Trucks North America, developing technical solutions for TA/Petro, and managing technical training curricula. He is a graduate from Lincoln College of Technology, where he is a member of their Hall of Fame. He holds an ASE Medium/Heavy Duty Truck Master certification, is a Daimler Trucks North America Dealer Trainer, is Six Sigma through Villanova University, and is a co-host on a SiriusXM radio channel entitled "Maintenance Matters". He also writes technical articles in each addition of Road King magazine. Hogg currently sits on the Board of Directors for ASE and multiple Tech School Advisory Councils, Chairs TMC’s S16 Study Group, and is an advocate in the industry for the professional development for technicians. The ADS 2020 Convention will be held Jan. 26 - 30, 2020 at The Gaylord Hotel in Grapevine, Texas. ADS is the largest North American gathering of the independent diesel fuel injection industry. More than 400 executives and managers from the U.S., Canada and several other countries – including manufacturers, distributors, suppliers, service providers, educators and industry media – attended the 2019 ADS Convention in Orlando, Florida.
